Frequently Asked Questions
When is the right age to start to music lessons?
We suggest as soon as one is able to breathe! Music is all around us and it is pursible to intentionally begin to nurture musicianship right from birth in age-appropriate. There isn’t a right or wrong age!
How long will it take for my child to become good at their instrument?
There is no simple answer to this question as so many variables come into play. Pre-existing musical knowledge, availability of a good quality instrument, regular practice routine, and your definition of “really good” are just some of the factors that come into play. We can only say that however long or short the journey, we will ensure it will be a fun and exciting one!
Is once a week enough?
It depends. If you have lessons every day and did not do any practice before your next lesson, then the lessons are a waste of time and money. The most important discipline to learn is that of daily practice. Once that has been established, then additional lessons may be beneficial.
Can I try a lesson first?
Asbolutely, just get in touch to arrange an taster lesson / initial assessment. There is no obligation to continue with lessons afterwards.
