Our #wcw this week is Mary Lou Williams.

Mary was an American jazz pianist, arranger, and composer. She started playing piano at the age of three while playing in friends and families’ parties in the neighbourhood. At 15, she became a professional musician. She wrote hundreds of compositions and arrangements and recorded more than one hundred records.

Mary Lou Williams is a great inspiration, as her story shows its possible to build a career in music even from an early age.
